باب في الْجَائِحَةِ:
Chapter: On Crop Damage
Hadith 2592
أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ: أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: "مَنِ ابْتَاعَ ثَمَرَةً فَأَصَابَتْهُ جَائِحَةٌ، فَلَا يَأْخُذَنَّ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا . بِمَ تَأْخُذُ مَالَ أَخِيكَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ ؟".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever sells (buys) fruit, then a calamity befalls that (fruit), he must never take the buyer's wealth. On what basis are you taking your Muslim brother's wealth?"
