Hadith 2568
Abu Hurairah Sa'di said: I asked Sayyiduna Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both): What do you remember from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? He replied: A man asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about an issue which I do not know. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Leave that which causes you doubt for that which does not cause you doubt."
Hadith 2569
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Wabisah bin Ma’bad Asadi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Wabisah: “Have you come to ask about virtue and sin?” I said: Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) joined his fingers together (made a fist) and struck it upon his chest and said: “Ask your soul and your heart. Virtue is that which the soul is at ease with and the heart feels tranquil about, and sin is that which causes uneasiness in the soul and hesitation in the heart, even if people give you a fatwa (legal verdict) permitting it.”
