باب في الْوَفَاءِ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ بِالْعَهْدِ:
Chapter: Fulfilling Treaties with Disbelievers
Hadith 2542
أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ مُحَرَّرِ بْنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قالَ: "كُنْتُ مَعَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ لَمَّا بَعَثَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَادَى بِأَرْبَعٍ حَتَّى صَهَلَ صَوْتُهُ: أَلا لا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ إِلا نَفْسٌ مُسْلِمَةٌ، وَلَا يَحُجَّنَّ بَعْدَ الْعَامِ مُشْرِكٌ، وَلَا يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ عُرْيَانُ . وَمَنْ كَانَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَهْدٌ، فَإِنَّ أَجَلَهُ إِلَى أَرْبَعَةِ أَشْهُرٍ، فَإِذَا مَضَتِ الْأَرْبَعَةُ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ بَرِيءٌ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ وَرَسُولُهُ".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I was with Sayyiduna Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him (to Mecca). He made four proclamations until his voice became hoarse: Listen, O people! Only a Muslim soul will enter Paradise, and after this year, no polytheist shall ever perform Hajj, nor shall any naked person circumambulate the House of Allah, and any covenant between any person and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is valid for four months; after four months have passed, the covenant of Allah and His Messenger is ended.
