باب في قَبُولِ هَدَايَا الْمُشْرِكِينَ:
Chapter: Accepting Gifts from Disbelievers
Hadith 2530
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ زَاذَانَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ"أَنَّ مَلِكَ ذِي يَزَنٍ أَهْدَى إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُلَّةً أَخَذَهَا بِثَلَاثَةٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ بَعِيرًا، أَوْ ثَلَاثٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ نَاقَةَ، فَقَبِلَهَا".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the king of Dhu Yazan bought a robe for the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, in exchange for 33 camels or 33 she-camels and sent it as a gift, which the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, accepted.
Hadith 2531
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ، قَالَ: "بَعَثَ صَاحِبُ أَيْلَةَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِكِتَابٍ، وَأَهْدَى لَهُ بَغْلَةً بَيْضَاءَ، فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَهْدَى لَهُ بُرْدًا".
Sayyiduna Abu Humayd Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The ruler of Aylah sent a letter to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and sent a gift of a white mule. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also wrote him a letter in reply and sent a cloak as a gift.
