Hadith 2505
Abdur Rahman bin Abi Laila narrated from his father, who said: I was present with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) at the time of the conquest of Khaybar. The polytheists were defeated. We took possession of their dwellings, so the people hastily went towards the camels they found and immediately began to boil them in pots, but the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) ordered that all the pots be overturned. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) distributed (the meat) among us and gave one goat to every ten men. Abu Laila said: The Banu Fulan were only nine, and I was alone, so I joined them and we became ten people, and for us too there was one goat (to eat).
Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I have been informed that Zaid bin Abi Unaisah narrated this narration from Qais bin Muslim; his intention was that Zaid did not remember (whether this narration is from Hakam), (but Imam Darimi’s surprise at this is questionable, because it is possible that Zaid heard it from Hakam as well as from Qais bin Muslim).
Hadith 2506
Zaid bin Abi Anisah narrated from Qais bin Muslim, who narrated from Abdur Rahman bin Abi Laila, who narrated from his father in a similar manner and said: I turned towards them (i.e., the nine individuals).
Imam Darimi, may Allah have mercy on him, said: The chain of Zakariya bin Adi is correct according to me.
