Chapter: Blood Money for Head Wounds
Hadith 2409
أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مَطَرٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: "قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمَوَاضِحِ خَمْسًا خَمْسًا مِنَ الْإِبِلِ".
Amr bin Shu'aib narrated from his father, from his grandfather: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prescribed five camels as compensation for wounds that reach the bone.
Hadith 2410
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ: أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَتَبَ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ: "وَفِي كُلِّ إِصْبَعٍ مِنْ أَصَابِعِ الْيَدِ وَالرِّجْلِ عَشْرٌ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ، وَفِي الْمُوضِحَةِ خَمْسٌ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ".
Abu Bakr bin Muhammad bin Amr bin Hazm narrated from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, wrote to the people of Yemen: "And for every finger of the hand and foot, the blood money is ten camels, and for a wound that exposes the bone (muwaddiha), it is five camels."
