باب التَّشْدِيدِ عَلَى مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ:
Chapter: Severity for One Who Kills Himself
Hadith 2398
حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ الضَّحَّاكِ: أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ: "لَعْنُ الْمُؤْمِنِ كَقَتْلِهِ، وَمَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ بِشَيْءٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا، عُذِّبَ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Thabit bin Dhahak (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Cursing a believer is equivalent to killing him, and whoever commits suicide with anything in this world will be punished with that very thing on the Day of Resurrection."
Hadith 2399
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ بِحَدِيدَةٍ فَحَدِيدَتُهُ فِي يَدِهِ يَتَوَجَّأُ بِهَا فِي بَطْنِهِ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدًا مُخَلَّدًا فِيهَا أَبَدًا، وَمَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ بِسَمٍّ فَسُمُّهُ فِي يَدِهِ يَتَحَسَّاهُ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدًا مُخَلَّدًا فِيهَا أَبَدًا، وَمَنْ تَرَدَّى مِنْ جَبَلٍ فَقَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ، فَهُوَ يَتَرَدَّى فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدًا مُخَلَّدًا فِيهَا أَبَدًا".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever commits suicide with iron, that weapon will be in his hand, which he will continue to thrust into his belly, and he will remain forever in the fire of Hell. And whoever commits suicide by consuming poison, that poison will be in his hand, which he will continue to drink forever in the fire of Hell. And whoever kills himself by falling from a mountain, he will continue to fall forever in the fire of Hell; this will always be his state.”
