Hadith 2320
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for anyone for more than three days, except for her husband."
Hadith 2321
Zainab bint Abi Salamah narrates that Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyidah Umm Habibah bint Abi Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with her) had a brother or another relative who passed away. So (on the third day as in al-Bukhari) she sent for saffron (perfume) and applied it to her hands (and cheeks), and said: I have done this because the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “It is not permissible for any woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for anyone who dies for more than three days, except for her husband, for whom she should mourn for four months and ten days.”
Hadith 2322
With this chain as well, the narration is reported similarly as mentioned above.
