Hadith 2304
Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that the wife of Rifa’ah al-Qurazi came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), at that time Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) was with him and Sayyiduna Khalid bin Sa’id bin al-‘As (may Allah be pleased with him) was at the door seeking permission to enter upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). That woman said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I was married to Rifa’ah, then he divorced me with three divorces. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Do you want to go back to Rifa’ah? No, not until (the second husband) tastes your sweetness and you taste his sweetness” (this is an allusion to intercourse). Upon hearing this, Sayyiduna Khalid bin Sa’id (may Allah be pleased with him) called out to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him): Do you not see this woman, how she is speaking loudly in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?
Hadith 2305
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Sayyiduna Rifa’ah (may Allah be pleased with him), who was from Banu Qurayza, gave his wife three divorces. After that, Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) married her. Then that woman came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! He (Abdur Rahman) has (a private part) like this piece of cloth (i.e., he is impotent and cannot have intercourse). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Perhaps you want to return to Rifa’ah? No, this cannot happen until Abdur Rahman tastes your sweetness,” or he said, “until you taste his sweetness.”
