Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: She was with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in the house of Lady Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her) when she heard the voice of a man and said: O Messenger of Allah! I heard the sound of a man entering your house? The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "I think it is such-and-such a man." He was the foster uncle of Lady Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her). Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah! If my foster uncle were alive, could he enter my house? The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Yes, the prohibition (of marriage) established by suckling is the same as that established by birth."
Hadith 2285
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that her (foster) uncle, the brother of Abu Quais (Aflah), came to her after the command of hijab, seeking permission to enter. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) refused to grant permission and said that she would seek permission from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then, when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived, Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) mentioned this to him and said: "The brother of my foster uncle Abu Quais came (and sought permission to enter), so I sent him back until I could ask you?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Is he not your foster uncle?" She replied: "The woman breastfed me, not the man (so how is the prohibition established for the man, i.e., Abu Quais or his brother)?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He (Aflah) is your uncle; he may enter upon you." Urwah said: And Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) used to say: "Whatever is made unlawful by birth is also made unlawful by breastfeeding."
Hadith 2286
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Those (relationships) that become unlawful due to birth also become unlawful due to breastfeeding.
Hadith 2287
With this chain also, a narration similar to the previous one is reported from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her).
