باب قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {لاَ يَحِلُّ لَكَ النِّسَاءُ مِنْ بَعْدُ}:
Chapter: Allah’s Saying: “It Is Not Lawful for You to Marry Other Women After This”
Hadith 2277
حَدَّثَنِي مُعَلَّى بْنُ أَسَدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ يُسَمَّى: زِيَادًا، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ: أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ أَنَّ أَزْوَاجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُتْنَ، كَانَ يَحِلُّ لَهُ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَ ؟ قَالَ: "نَعَمْ، إِنَّمَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَهُ ضَرْبًا مِنَ النِّسَاءِ، وَوَصَفَ لَهُ صِفَةً"، فَقَالَ: "لَا يَحِلُّ لَكَ النِّسَاءُ مِنْ بَعْدُ، مِنْ بَعْدِ هَذِهِ الصِّفَةِ".
A man from the Ansar whose name was Ziyad said: I asked Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him): What is your opinion, if all the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pass away, would it be permissible for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to marry? He said: Yes, because Allah Almighty has permitted the category of women in this verse «﴿لَا يَحِلُّ لَكَ النِّسَاءُ ......﴾» [احزاب: 52/33] and has described its characteristic, and has stated that after this characteristic, no other women are lawful for you.
Hadith 2278
أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُعَلَّى، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: "مَا تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَهُ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ مَا شَاءَ".
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Allah Almighty made it lawful before the death of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he could marry any woman he wished.
