Hadith 2262
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no one more possessive than Allah, and that is why He has forbidden indecency and immoral deeds. And there is no one who likes to be praised more than Allah."
Hadith 2263
Ibn Jabir bin Atiq said: My father narrated to me a hadith that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is a kind of jealousy that Allah likes and a kind of jealousy that Allah dislikes. The jealousy that Allah likes is when a person is jealous in a situation of doubt (for example, if someone jokes or laughs with his wife in seclusion, he feels jealous), and the jealousy that Allah dislikes is when a person is jealous without any doubt (or evidence), without any reason (for example, if someone leaves his house and he, without investigation, kills him out of jealousy)."
Hadith 2264
Sayyiduna Mughira bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was informed that Sayyiduna Sa’d bin ‘Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “If I see a man with my wife, I will strike him with the sword and never spare him.” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Are you amazed at Sa’d’s sense of honor? I am more possessive than him, and Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, is more possessive than me. It is due to His sense of honor that He has forbidden indecency, both open and hidden. And there is no one more possessive than Allah. And there is no one who loves to accept excuses more than Allah, so He sent the Prophets as bearers of glad tidings and as warners (so that the servants may present their excuses and repent before punishment). And there is no one who loves to be praised more than Allah, so Allah has promised Paradise (so that the servants may worship and praise Him and thus attain Paradise).”
