باب الْحَالِ التي تَجُوزُ لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يَخْطُبَ فِيهَا:
Chapter: When It Is Permissible to Propose
Hadith 2215
أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي هِنْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: "أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ تُنْكَحَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا، وَالْعَمَّةُ عَلَى ابْنَةِ أَخِيهَا، أَوْ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا، أَوْ الْخَالَةُ عَلَى بِنْتِ أُخْتِهَا، وَلَا تُنْكَحُ الصُّغْرَى عَلَى الْكُبْرَى، وَلَا الْكُبْرَى عَلَى الصُّغْرَى".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade marrying a woman and her paternal niece together, or a niece and her paternal aunt together; likewise, marrying a woman and her maternal niece together, or a niece and her maternal aunt together. Neither should the elder be married along with the younger, nor the younger along with the elder.
Hadith 2216
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ: "أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade combining a niece and her paternal aunt, and combining a niece and her maternal aunt together.
