Chapter: Seeing Allah in a Dream
Hadith 2186
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، حَدَّثَنِي الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسَلْمِ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ اللَّجْلَاجِ، وَسَأَلَهُ مَكْحُولٌ أَنْ يُحَدِّثَهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَائِشٍ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: "رَأَيْتُ رَبِّي فِي أَحْسَنِ صُورَةٍ، قَالَ: فِيمَ يَخْتَصِمُ الْمَلَأُ الْأَعْلَى ؟ فَقُلْتُ: أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ يَا رَبِّ، قَالَ: فَوَضَعَ كَفَّهُ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيَّ، فَوَجَدْتُ بَرْدَهَا بَيْنَ ثَدْيَيَّ، فَعَلِمْتُ مَا فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ، وَتَلَا: وَكَذَلِكَ نُرِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَلَكُوتَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَلِيَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُوقِنِينَ سورة الأنعام آية 75".
Abdur Rahman bin A’ish says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: “I saw my Lord in the best of forms. The Lord of the worlds said: ‘What are the highest assembly (the angels of the heavens) disputing about?’ I said: ‘O my Lord! You know best.’ He said: Then my Lord placed His hand between my shoulders, the coolness of which I felt in my chest, and I was given knowledge of the earth and the heavens.” Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) recited this verse: « ﴿وَكَذَلِكَ نُرِي ....﴾ الخ» [انعام: 75/6]
Hadith 2187
أَخْبَرَنَا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ قُطْبَةَ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَ: "مَنْ رَأَى رَبَّهُ فِي الْمَنَامِ، دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ".
Muhammad bin Sirin, may Allah have mercy on him, said: Whoever sees his Lord in a dream will enter Paradise.
