Hadith 2041
Sayyiduna ‘Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about hunting with a dog. He (peace be upon him) said: “Whatever (the dog) catches for you (i.e., does not eat itself), you may eat from that game, for its catching the game is like slaughtering it. But if you find another dog along with your dog, and you fear or suspect that your dog caught the game together with the other dog, and the dog has killed the game, then do not eat such game, because you pronounced the name of Allah (Bismillah) over your dog, but you did not pronounce it over the other dog.”
Hadith 2042
Sayyiduna ‘Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about hunting with a broad object (such as an arrow without a feather, a stick, a staff, etc., which has no blade), so ... he narrated similarly.
