Hadith 2024
Abdur Rahman bin Wa'lah said: I asked Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) about a leather water-skin (in which water is filled), so he said: I do not understand what answer I should give you except that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Any hide that is tanned has become pure."

Hadith 2027
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The goat of his maternal aunt, Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), died, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why did you not benefit from its skin?" The people said: O Messenger of Allah! It was dead. He said: "Only eating the dead animal is forbidden."

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) a narration with the same meaning as this hadith. He replied: I consider it disliked (because the fox is not lawful to eat, its consumption is not permissible).
