باب السُّنَّةِ في الأُضْحِيَّةِ:
Chapter: Sunnah of Sacrifice
Hadith 1984
أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: "ضَحَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِكَبْشَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ أَقْرَنَيْنِ، وَيُسَمِّي وَيُكَبِّرُ، لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ يَذْبَحُهُمَا بِيَدِهِ وَاضِعًا عَلَى صِفَاحِهِمَا قَدَمَهُ"، قُلْتُ: أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ.
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sacrificed two black and white rams with horns. At the time of slaughtering, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would say "Bismillah, Allahu Akbar." I saw him (peace and blessings be upon him) slaughtering those rams with his own hand, placing his foot on their sides. The narrator said: I asked, "Did you hear this from him?" He said: "Yes."
Hadith 1985
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: ضَحَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِكَبْشَيْنِ فِي يَوْمِ الْعِيدِ، فَقَالَ حِينَ وَجَّهَهُمَا: "إِنِّي وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِي فَطَرَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا أَنَا مِنْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ . إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ، لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ . اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ هَذَا مِنْكَ وَلَكَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ وَأُمَّتِهِ"، ثُمَّ سَمَّى اللَّهَ وَكَبَّرَ وَذَبَحَ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sacrificed two rams on the day of Eid, and when he turned their faces towards the Qiblah, he recited this verse: «إِنِّيْ وَجَّهْتُ ...... الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ» "I have turned my face towards Him who created the heavens and the earth, being upright, a Muslim, and I am not of those who associate partners with Allah. Surely, my prayer, my sacrifice, my life, and my death are all for Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. He has no partner, and I have been commanded this, and I am the first of those who submit." Then he recited this supplication: «اَللّٰهُمَّ هَذَا مِنْكَ وَلَكَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ وَأُمَّتِهٖ» meaning: O Allah, this sacrifice is from You and for You, on behalf of Muhammad and his Ummah. Then he said «بسم الله اكبر» and slaughtered (the animal).
