باب فِيمَنْ يَبِيتُ بِمَكَّةَ لَيَالِيَ مِنًى مِنْ عِلَّةٍ:
Chapter: Staying in Mecca During Mina Nights Due to Illness
Hadith 1982
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّ الْعَّبَاسَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ اسْتَأْذَنَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيَبِيتَ بِمَكَّةَ لَيَالِيَ مِنًى مِنْ أَجْلِ سِقَايَتِهِ . فَأَذِنَ لَهُ" .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyiduna Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) sought permission from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to spend the nights of Mina in Makkah in order to provide water to the pilgrims. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) granted him permission.
Hadith 1983
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ يُونُسَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، نَحْوَهُ.
With this chain of narration as well, the aforementioned narration is reported similarly.
