باب إِذَا وَدَّعَ الْبَيْتَ لاَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ:
Chapter: When Leaving the House, Do Not Raise Hands
Hadith 1958
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ الْحَنَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو قَزَعَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُهَاجِرًا يَقُولُ: سُئِلَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ رَفْعِ الْأَيْدِي عِنْدَ الْبَيْتِ، فَقَالَ: "إِنَّمَا كَانَ يَصْنَعُ ذَلِكَ الْيَهُودُ، حَجَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَفَصَنَعْنَا ذَلِكَ ؟".
The Muhajir said: Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) was asked about raising hands at the Ka'bah, so he replied that the Jews used to do so. We performed Hajj with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and did not do so (i.e., did not raise hands).
