باب سُنَّةِ الْبَدَنَةِ إِذَا عَطِبَتْ:
Chapter: Sunnah for a Sacrificial Camel That Is Injured
Hadith 1947
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ نَاجِيَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ صَاحِبِ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطِبَ مِنْ الْهَدْيِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "كُلُّ بَدَنَةٍ عَطِبَتْ فَانْحَرْهَا، ثُمَّ أَلْقِ نَعْلَهَا فِي دَمِهَا، ثُمَّ خَلِّ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَلْيَأْكُلُوهَا" .
Sayyiduna Najiyah Aslami (Khuza'i) رضي الله عنه, who was taking the sacrificial animal (hadi) of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم, said: I asked the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم, "If the sacrificial camel is about to die, what should I do?" He said: "Any camel that becomes exhausted and is about to die, slaughter it, dip its sandal (which was hung around its neck as a sign) in its blood, and leave it for the people so that they may eat from it."
Hadith 1948
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ نَاجِيَةَ، نَحْوَهُ.
With this chain also, there is a narration from Sayyiduna Najiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) as mentioned previously. The translation is mentioned above.
