Chapter: Perfume at Ihram

Hadith 1839
أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: "كُنْتُ أُطَيِّبُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ بِأَطْيَبِ الطِّيبِ"، قَالَ: وَكَانَ عُرْوَةُ يَقُولُ لَنَا: "تَطَيَّبُوا قَبْلَ أَنْ تُحْرِمُوا وَقَبْلَ أَنْ تُفِيضُوا يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ".
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that I used to apply the best kind of perfume to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) before he entered the state of Ihram. The narrator said: And our master Urwah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say to us that you should apply perfume before entering the state of Ihram, and likewise, apply perfume before performing the Tawaf al-Ifadah on the day of sacrifice.

Hadith 1840
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: "لَقَدْ كُنْتُ أُطَيِّبُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ إِحْرَامِهِ بِأَطْيَبِ مَا أَجِدُ".
Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: At the time of entering into Ihram, I used to apply the best kind of perfume that was with me to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).

Hadith 1841
أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، وَجَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ الْقَاسِمِ أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، تَقُولُ: "طَيَّبْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِحُرْمِهِ، وَطَيَّبْتُهُ بِمِنًى قَبْلَ أَنْ يُفِيضَ".
Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that I applied perfume to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) before he entered into the state of Ihram and (again) in Mina (when he exited Ihram), before performing the Tawaf al-Ifadah.
