باب النَّهْيِ عَنْ صِيَامِ الدَّهْرِ:
Chapter: Prohibition of Perpetual Fasting
Hadith 1782
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ يَصُومُ الدَّهْرَ، فَقَالَ: "لَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ".
Mutarrif bin Abdullah bin Shukhair narrated from his father (Sayyiduna Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him) that a man was mentioned to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) who always fasted. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He neither fasted nor broke his fast."
