Hadith 1776
It is narrated from Sayyida Umm ‘Ammarah bint Ka‘b (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to her, so she presented food to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her, “You also eat.” She replied, “I am fasting.” The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “When food is eaten in the presence of a fasting person, the angels pray for him until they finish eating,” or he said, “until they finish the meal.”
