باب الْحِجَامَةِ تُفْطِرُ الصَّائِمَ:
Chapter: Cupping Breaks the Fast
Hadith 1768
أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَاصِمٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَشْعَثِ الصَّنْعَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ الرَّحَبِيِّ، عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ، قَالَ: مَرَرْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ خَلَتْ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، فَأَبْصَرَ رَجُلًا يَحْتَجِمُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "أَفْطَرَ الْحَاجِمُ وَالْمَحْجُومُ".
Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the eighteenth of Ramadan when he saw a man who was getting cupped. He (the Prophet) said: "The one who does cupping and the one who gets cupped, their fast is broken."
Hadith 1769
أَخْبَرَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، أَنَّ أَبَا أَسْمَاءَ الرَّحَبِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ ثَوْبَانَ حَدَّثَهُ، قَالَ: بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْشِي بِالْبَقِيعِ إِذَا رَجُلٌ يَحْتَجِمُ، فَقَالَ: "أَفْطَرَ الْحَاجِمُ وَالْمَحْجُومُ" . قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد: أَنَا أَتَّقِي الْحِجَامَةَ فِي الصَّوْمِ فِي رَمَضَانَ.
Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was going towards Baqi‘ when he saw a man being cupped. He said: "The one who does cupping and the one who gets cupped, their fast is broken." Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I avoid cupping while fasting in Ramadan. Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked: Do you say this, that one should avoid cupping while fasting? He replied: Yes.
