باب النَّهْيِ عَنْ صَوْمِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَطَوُّعاً إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ زَوْجِهَا:
Chapter: Prohibition of Voluntary Fasting by a Woman Without Husband’s Permission
Hadith 1757
أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِامْرَأَةٍ: "لَا تَصُومِي إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ".
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to a woman: "Do not fast without your husband's permission."
Hadith 1758
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: "لَا تَصُومُ الْمَرْأَةُ يَوْمًا تَطَوُّعًا فِي غَيْرِ رَمَضَانَ، وَزَوْجُهَا شَاهِدٌ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A woman should not observe even a single voluntary fast, apart from Ramadan, in the presence of her husband without his permission."
Hadith 1759
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: "لَا تَصُومُ الْمَرْأَةُ يَوْمًا وَزَوْجُهَا شَاهِدٌ، إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ" . قَالَ: فِي النُّذُورِ تَفِي بِهَا.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If the husband is present, a woman should not observe even a single voluntary fast without his permission." He said: "She should fulfill the fast of vow."
