باب الْفَضْلِ لِمَنْ فَطَّرَ صَائِماً:
Chapter: The Virtue of Feeding a Fasting Person
Hadith 1740
أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: "مَنْ فَطَّرَ صَائِمًا، كُتِبَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِهِ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ لَا يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَجْرِ الصَّائِمِ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Khalid al-Juhani, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever provides iftar to a fasting person will receive a reward equal to that of the fasting person, and the reward of the fasting person will not be diminished in the least."
