Hadith 1725
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw the new moon of the first night, he would say: “«اَللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ اَللّٰهُمَّ أَهِلَّهُ عَلَيْنَا ....... الخ» That is, O Allah, let this moon rise upon us with security, faith, safety, Islam, and guidance. O moon, our Lord and your Lord is Allah, the Exalted.”
Hadith 1726
Sayyiduna Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw the new moon of the first night, he would say: «اَللّٰهُمَّ أَهِلَّهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالْأَمْنِ وَالْإِيْمَانِ وَالسَّلَامَةِ وَالْإِسْلَامِ رَبِّيْ وَرَبُّكَ اللّٰهُ.»
