باب في تَعْجِيلِ الزَّكَاةِ:
Chapter: On Hastening the Payment of Zakat
Hadith 1674
أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، عَنْ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ، عَنْ حُجَيَّةَ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ: أَنَّ الْعَبَّاسَ "سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي تَعْجِيلِ صَدَقَتِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَحِلَّ، فَرَخَّصَ فِي ذَلِكَ" . قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد: آخُذُ بِهِ، وَلَا أَرَى فِي تَعْجِيلِ الزَّكَاةِ بَأْسًا.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about giving (the charity of Zakat) before its due time, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted him to do so. Imam Abu Muhammad Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I also hold this view, and there is no harm in giving Zakat before it becomes obligatory.
