باب النَّهْيِ عَنِ الْفَرْقِ بَيْنَ الْمُجْتَمِعِ وَالْجَمْعِ بَيْنَ الْمُتَفَرِّقِ:
Chapter: Prohibition of Separating or Combining Wealth to Avoid Zakat
Hadith 1668
أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ الثَّقَفِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي لَيْلَى هُوَ الْكِنْدِيُّ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ، قَالَ: أَتَانَا مُصَدِّقُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخَذْتُ بِيَدِهِ، فَقَرَأْتُ فِي عَهْدِهِ: "أَنْ لَا يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ مُتَفَرِّقٍ، وَلَا يُفَرَّقَ بَيْنَ مُجْتَمِعٍ خَشْيَةَ الصَّدَقَةِ".
Sayyiduna Suwaid bin Ghaflah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that a collector of zakat from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us, so I held his hand and read his ordinance, in which it was written that scattered wealth should not be gathered together, nor should gathered wealth be separated out of fear of zakat.
