باب كَيْفَ يُشِيرُ الإِمَامُ في الْخُطْبَةِ:
Chapter: How the imam gestures in the sermon
Hadith 1599
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حُصَيْنٌ قَالَ: رَأَى عُمَارَةُ بْنُ رُوَيْبَةَ بِشْرَ بْنَ مَرْوَانَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ رَافِعًا يَدَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: "قَبَّحَ اللَّهُ هَاتَيْنِ الْيَدَيْنِ، لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ، وَمَا يُشِيرُ إِلَّا بِإِصْبُعِهِ".
Husain (bin Abdur Rahman) said: ‘Amarah bin Ruwaybah saw Bishr, the son of Marwan, raising his hands on the pulpit, so he said: May Allah do evil to these two hands. I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) on the pulpit, and he would only gesture with his two fingers (in some versions, it is mentioned that he gestured with one finger).
Hadith 1600
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ رُوَيْبَةَ، قَالَ: رَأَى بِشْرَ بْنَ مَرْوَانَ رَافِعًا يَدَيْهِ يَدْعُو عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، قَالَ: فَسَبَّهُ، وَقَالَ: "لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ وَمَا يَقُولُ بِأُصْبُعِهِ إِلَّا هَكَذَا، وَأَشَارَ بِالسَّبَّابَةِ عِنْدَ الْخَاصِرَةِ".
Husayn bin Abdur Rahman said: ‘Amarah bin Ruwaybah saw Bishr bin Marwan raising his hands for supplication on the pulpit on Friday, so he reproached him and said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on the pulpit, and he did not do like this, rather he would only gesture with his finger, and he gestured with his index finger from his side.
