باب في وَقْتِ الْجُمُعَةِ:
Chapter: Time of Friday prayer
Hadith 1584
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ، عَنْ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامٍ، قَالَ: "كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْجُمُعَةَ، ثُمَّ نَرْجِعُ فَنَتَبَادِرُ الظِّلَّ فِي أُطُمِ بَنِي غَنْمٍ، فَمَا هُوَ إِلَّا مَوَاضِعُ أَقْدَامِنَا".
Sayyiduna Zubair bin Al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We used to perform the Friday prayer with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), then return and hasten to reach the shade of the fortress of Banu Ghanm, which would be equal to the length of our footsteps.
Hadith 1585
أَخْبَرَنَا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ إِيَاسَ بْنَ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: "كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْجُمُعَةَ، ثُمَّ نَنْصَرِفُ وَلَيْسَ لِلْحِيطَانِ فَيْءٌ يُسْتَظَلُّ بِهِ".
Sayyiduna Salamah bin Akwa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When we would return after offering the Friday prayer with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), the shade of the walls would not be enough for us to stand in it.
