باب في صَلاَةِ الاِسْتِسْقَاءِ:
Chapter: Prayer for rain
Hadith 1572
أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرِ بْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ زَيْدٍ رَضِيَ اللهِ عَنْهُ، يَذْكُرُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ"خَرَجَ بِالنَّاسِ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى يَسْتَسْقِي، فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out with the people to the Eidgah to pray for rain, then he faced the Qiblah and turned his cloak inside out.
Hadith 1573
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبَّادُ بْنُ تَمِيمٍ: أَنَّ عَمَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ"خَرَجَ بِالنَّاسِ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى يَسْتَسْقِي لَهُمْ، فَقَامَ فَدَعَا اللَّهَ قَائِمًا، ثُمَّ تَوَجَّهَ قِبَلَ الْقِبْلَةِ، فَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ فَأُسْقُوا".
Ubad bin Tamim reported that his uncle informed him that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) went out with the people to the Eid ground to pray for rain. He stood and supplicated to Allah, then turned towards the Qiblah and turned his cloak inside out (his supplication was accepted), and it rained.
