باب أَيُّ اللَّيْلِ أَفْضَلُ:
Chapter: Which part of the night is best
Hadith 1515
أَخْبَرَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْتَشِرِ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "أَفْضَلُ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الْفَرِيضَةِ، الصَّلَاةُ فِي جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "After the obligatory prayers, the most virtuous prayer is the prayer in the middle of the night."
