Hadith 1491
Ibn Abi Laila says: No one informed us except Sayyida Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Duha prayer. Thus, she (Sayyida Umm Hani, may Allah be pleased with her) mentioned that on the day of the conquest of Makkah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ghusl in her house, then prayed eight rak‘ahs, and said that she had never seen the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pray such a light prayer. However, even in this prayer, the bowing and prostration of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) were performed with complete calmness and excellence.
Hadith 1492
Lady Umm Hani bint Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that she went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of the conquest of Makkah and found him performing ghusl (ritual bath), and Lady Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) was screening him. Lady Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I greeted him with salam, and it was the time of Duha (forenoon). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Who is this?" I said: It is Umm Hani. She said: Then when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished his ghusl, he stood up and performed eight rak‘ahs of prayer wrapped in a single garment. When he finished the prayer, I said: O Messenger of Allah! My brother (from my mother’s side) thinks that he will kill the person whom I have granted protection; he is so-and-so ibn Hubayrah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Umm Hani, the one whom you have granted protection, we have granted him protection."
Hadith 1493
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: My close friend (Muhammad, peace be upon him) advised me regarding three things which I will not leave until death: to perform Witr before sleeping, to fast three days in every month, and to perform two rak‘ahs of Duha prayer.
