Hadith 1462
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Hubshi that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: "Which deed is the best?" He replied: "There is no doubt that having faith in Allah Almighty is the best deed, then jihad in which there is no dishonesty, and then an accepted Hajj." It was asked: "And which prayer is the most virtuous?" He said: "The one in which the standing (qiyam) is long." It was asked: "And which charity is the best?" He said: "That which a person with little wealth gives by working hard." It was asked: "Which migration (hijrah) is the best?" He said: "The one in which a person abandons (keeps away from) sinful acts." It was asked: "Then which jihad is the best?" He said: "The one in which a person strives against the polytheists with his life and wealth." It was asked: "Which killing is the best?" He said: "The one whose blood is shed and whose horse's legs and arms are cut off."
