باب كَرَاهِيَةِ الصَّلاَةِ لِلنَّاعِسِ:
Chapter: Dislike of praying when drowsy
Hadith 1421
أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: "إِذَا وَجَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ النَّوْمَ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَلْيَنَمْ، حَتَّى يَذْهَبَ نَوْمُهُ، فَإِنَّهُ عَسَى يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَسْتَغْفِرَ، فَيَسُبَّ نَفْسَهُ".
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any one of you feels drowsy while praying, he should sleep until the sleepiness goes away, because it is possible that instead of seeking forgiveness, he may curse himself."
