باب الْعَمَلِ في الصَّلاَةِ:
Chapter: Actions during prayer
Hadith 1397
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ هُوَ النَّبِيلُ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "خَرَجَ يُصَلِّي وَقَدْ حَمَلَ عَلَى عُنُقِهِ أَوْ عَاتِقِهِ أُمَامَةَ بِنْتَ زَيْنَبَ، فَإِذَا رَكَعَ، وَضَعَهَا، وَإِذَا قَامَ، حَمَلَهَا".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out for prayer carrying Umamah bint Zaynab (his granddaughter) on his neck or shoulder. When he would bow (in ruku‘), he would put her down, and when he stood up, he would pick her up again.
Hadith 1398
حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ الزُّرَقِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، قَالَ: "حَمَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُمَامَةَ بِنْتَ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، فَإِذَا سَجَدَ، وَضَعَهَا، وَإِذَا قَامَ حَمَلَهَا".
Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) picked up Umamah bint Zaynab during the prayer; when he would prostrate, he would put her down, and when he stood up, he would pick her up.
