باب عَلَى أَيِّ شِقَّيْهِ يَنْصَرِفُ مِنَ الصَّلاَةِ:
Chapter: Which side to turn after prayer
Hadith 1388
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: لَا يَجْعَلْ أَحَدُكُمْ لِلشَّيْطَانِ نَصِيبًا مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ: يَرَى أَنَّ حَقًّا عَلَيْهِ أَنْ لَا يَنْصَرِفَ إِلَّا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَثِيرًا "يَنْصَرِفُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said that no person should allocate any portion of his prayer to the share of Satan in such a way that he makes it necessary for himself to always turn only to the right side. I have seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) frequently turning to the left side (after prayer).
Hadith 1389
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ السُّدِّيِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا، يَقُولُ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "يَنْصَرِفُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ".
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) turning from his right side.
Hadith 1390
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ السُّدِّيِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: "انْصَرَفَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ يَعْنِي: فِي الصَّلَاةِ".
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would turn to his right side after the prayer.
