باب النَّهْيِ عَنْ الاِفْتِرَاشِ وَنَقْرَةِ الْغُرَابِ:
Chapter: Forbidding lying flat and pecking like a crow
Hadith 1359
أَخْبَرَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ , قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "اعْتَدِلُوا فِي الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ، وَلَا يَبْسُطْ أَحَدُكُمْ ذِرَاعَيْهِ بِسَاطَ الْكَلْبِ".
Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) say, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Maintain moderation in prostration and do not spread your hands like a dog."
Hadith 1360
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ تَمِيمِ بْنِ مَحْمُودٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ شِبْلٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ , قَالَ: "نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ افْتِرَاشِ السَّبُعِ، وَنَقْرَةِ الْغُرَابِ، وَأَنْ يُوطِنَ الرَّجُلُ الْمَكَانَ كَمَا يُوطِنُ الْبَعِيرُ".
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Shibl Ansari رضي الله عنه said: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم forbade spreading the arms (in prostration) like a beast of prey, pecking like a crow (i.e., performing prostration quickly), and designating a specific spot in the mosque as a camel designates its place.
