Ziyad bin ‘Ilaqah said: I heard my uncle say that I prayed the Fajr prayer with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he recited «﴿وَالنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَاتٍ﴾» [ق: 10] in one rak‘ah. Shu‘bah said: I asked Ziyad again, and he said: I heard him reciting Surah Qaf.
Hadith 1333
Sayyiduna Qutbah bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) reciting «﴿وَالنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَاتٍ لَهَا طَلْعٌ نَضِيدٌ﴾» [ق: 10/50] in the first rak'ah of the Fajr prayer.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr bin Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) reciting « ﴿إِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ﴾ » in the Fajr prayer. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) reached this verse «﴿وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ﴾», I began to wonder in my heart what is the meaning of «﴿وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ﴾» (when the night declines).
Hadith 1335
Abu Nu'aym narrated to us that Mu'sar narrated to us from Walid, and he from our master 'Amr bin Harith, may Allah be pleased with him, similar to this.
Hadith 1336
Sayyar bin Salamah said: I went with my father to the service of Sayyiduna Abu Barzah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him), who was in a bamboo hut. My father asked him about the prayer times of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), so Sayyiduna Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him) informed that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) «هجير» which you call Dhuhr, used to pray at the time of the sun's decline, and when he would pray the Asr prayer, any one of us could return to his house at the farthest end of Madinah and the sun would still be bright. Sayyar said: I do not remember what he said about Maghrib, and the Isha prayer, which you «عتمة», he used to prefer to delay it, and he would finish the Fajr prayer at a time when a man could recognize the person sitting next to him, and in this (Fajr) prayer he would recite sixty to one hundred verses.
