Hadith 1320
Hilal bin Yasaf said: Ziyad bin Abi Al-Ja’d took my hand and made me stand before an elder of Banu Asad who was called Wabisah bin Ma’bad. Then he said that he narrated a hadith to me while that elder (Wabisah) was listening, that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saw a man who prayed (alone) behind him and did not join the row. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) ordered him to repeat the prayer. Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: In terms of chain of narration, Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal (may Allah have mercy on him) considered the hadith of Amr bin Murrah to be more authentic, and in my view, the hadith of Yazid bin Ziyad bin Abi Al-Ja’d is more authentic (the meaning of both hadiths is the same).
Hadith 1321
It is narrated from Wabisah bin Ma’bad that a man prayed alone behind the rows, so the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) ordered him to repeat (the prayer), i.e., to pray again. Imam Abu Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I say the same.
Hadith 1322
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that his grandmother, Malikah, prepared food and invited the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to eat. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate the food and then said: "Come, let me lead you in prayer." Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I took up a mat of mine which had become black due to frequent use, I sprinkled water on it, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood on that mat (for prayer). I and an orphan boy (Dhamirah) formed a row behind him, and my grandmother stood behind us. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in two rak‘ahs of prayer, and then departed.
