باب فِيمَنْ تَخَلَّفَ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ:
Chapter: On missing the prayer
Hadith 1308
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ فِتْيَانِي فَيَجْمَعُوا حَطَبًا، فَآمُرَ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ، ثُمَّ أُخَالِفَ إِلَى أَقْوَامٍ يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَنْ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةِ، فَأُحَرِّقَ عَلَيْهِمْ بُيُوتَهُمْ، لَوْ كَانَ عَرْقًا سَمِينًا، أَوْ مُعَرَّقَتَيْنِ لَشَهِدُوهَا، وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا فِيهِمَا، لَأَتَوْهُمَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I had intended to order my young men to collect firewood, then order someone to lead the prayer, then I would go to those people who stay behind from this prayer (do not attend), and burn them and their houses together. If they knew that they would find a good piece of meat or two with little meat on the ribs, they would surely attend the mosque, and if they knew the reward and virtue of these prayers, they would come crawling (on their knees)."
