Sunan ad-Darimi
من كتاب الصللاةFrom the Book of Prayer
باب مَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَةً مِنْ صَلاَةٍ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ:
Chapter: Whoever Catches a Rak'ah of Prayer Has Caught the Prayer
Hadith 1254
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: "مَنْ أَدْرَكَ مِنْ صَلَاةٍ رَكْعَةً فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَهَا" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever catches one rak'ah of a prayer has caught the (congregational) prayer."
Hadith 1255
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، بِمِثْلِهِ.
It is narrated from another chain from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, in a similar manner.
Hadith 1256
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، وَعَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ يُحَدِّثُونَهُ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: "مَنْ أَدْرَكَ مِنْ الصُّبْحِ رَكْعَةً قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ، فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَهَا، وَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ مِنْ الْعَصْرِ رَكْعَةً قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ، فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَهَا".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Whoever catches one rak‘ah of the Fajr prayer before the sun rises, he has attained the (reward of) Fajr prayer (in congregation), and whoever catches one rak‘ah of the ‘Asr prayer before the sun sets, he has attained the (reward of) ‘Asr prayer (in congregation).”
