باب التَّعْوِيذِ لِلْحَائِضِ:
Chapter: Seeking Protection for the Menstruating Woman
Hadith 1208
أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، فِي الْمَرْأَةِ الْحَائِضِ فِي عُنُقِهَا التَّعْوِيذُ أَوْ الْكِتَابُ، قَالَ: "إِنْ كَانَ فِي أَدِيمٍ، فَلْتَنْزِعْهُ، وَإِنْ كَانَ فِي قَصَبَةٍ مُصَاغَةٍ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ، فَلَا بَأْسَ، إِنْ شَاءَتْ، وَضَعَتْ، وَإِنْ شَاءَتْ، لَمْ تَفْعَلْ"، قِيلَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ: تَقُولُ بِهَذَا ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ.
It is narrated from Ata’ (may Allah have mercy on him) regarding a menstruating woman wearing an amulet or a Qur’an (verse) around her neck: He said, if it is written on leather, the woman should remove it, and if it is in a silver case, then there is no harm, she may remove it if she wishes or she may not. Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked: Do you also say the same? He replied: Yes.
