It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the women: “Give charity, for you are the majority among the inhabitants of Hell.” A woman, who was not well-known, asked: Why is that? He replied: “Because you curse excessively and are ungrateful to your husbands.” The narrator said: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I have not seen anyone more overpowering over men of status, despite their deficiency in religion and intellect, than women. A man asked: What is the deficiency in intellect? He said: The testimony of two women is equal to that of one man. He was asked about the deficiency in religion, so he said: How many nights and days do they spend without praying to Allah?
