Hadith 1007
Yahya bin Ayyub narrated that I heard Hakam bin Utaybah (may Allah have mercy on him) say: The predecessors used to like that a menstruating woman should perform ablution at the time of prayer as one does for prayer, then glorify and magnify Allah, that is, recite Subhan Allah, Allahu Akbar, etc.
Hadith 1008
It is narrated from Sulaiman al-Taymi that I asked Abu Qilabah: Should a menstruating woman perform ablution at every prayer time and recite dhikr? He said: I have found no evidence for this.
Hadith 1009
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir al-Juhani, may Allah be pleased with him, that he used to instruct a menstruating woman to perform ablution at the time of prayer and to sit in the courtyard at the place of prayer, so that she may engage in remembrance and glorification (of Allah).
Hadith 1010
Ata’ (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked about a menstruating woman: Can she recite (the Qur’an)? He replied: No, she may recite a phrase or two, but at every prayer time she should perform ablution, then sit facing the qiblah and recite tasbih and takbir, and supplicate to Allah, the Mighty and Majestic.
Hadith 1011
Makhul (al-Shami) narrated, stating that a menstruating woman should be instructed to perform ablution at the times of prayer, then face the qiblah and remember Allah. (That is, she should remain engaged in the remembrance of Allah.)
