It is narrated from Muawiyah bin Qurrah that the wife of Aaidh bin Amr reported: She came after twenty days in the state of nifas (postnatal bleeding) and got into her husband's blanket. In Dar Qutni and Musannaf, it is mentioned that she had come to him after taking a bath.

Mu'tamir bin Sulayman narrated from his father that Imam Hasan al-Basri, may Allah have mercy on him, said regarding the woman in nifas: If she sees blood, she should wait for forty days, then perform prayer.
