Hadith 905
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَوَّامٍ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ: "إِذَا طَهُرَتْ الْمَرْأَةُ فِي وَقْتِ صَلَاةٍ، فَلَمْ تَغْتَسِلْ وَهِيَ قَادِرَةٌ عَلَى أَنْ تَغْتَسِلَ، قَضَتْ تِلْكَ الصَّلَاةَ".
Imam Hasan, may Allah have mercy on him, said: When a woman becomes pure at the time of prayer and, despite having the ability, does not perform ghusl, then she should make up that prayer.
Hadith 906
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ: "إِذَا صَلَّتْ الْمَرْأَةُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ حَاضَتْ فَلَا تَقْضِي إِذَا طَهُرَتْ".
It is narrated from Imam Hasan al-Basri, may Allah have mercy on him, that if a woman gets her menses after performing two rak'ahs, then after becoming pure she does not have to make up that prayer.
Hadith 907
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، حَدَّثَنَا الْمَعْمَرِيُّ أَبُو سُفْيَانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ: . .
The meaning of this narration is the same as mentioned in (905).
Hadith 908
ح حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ فِي الْمَرْأَةِ تَطْهُرُ عِنْدَ الظُّهْرِ، فَتُؤَخِّرُ غُسْلَهَا حَتَّى يَدْخُلَ وَقْتُ الْعَصْرِ، قَالَا: "تَقْضِي الظُّهْرَ" ..
Ata said about the woman who becomes pure at the time of Dhuhr but does not perform ghusl until Asr: both said she will make up the Dhuhr prayer.
Hadith 911
وَعُبَيْدَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، فِي الْمَرْأَةِ تُفَرِّطُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ حَتَّى يُدْرِكَهَا الْحَيْضُ، قَالُوا: "تُعِيدُ تِلْكَ الصَّلَاةَ" ..
It is narrated from Imam Hasan, Imam 'Amir Sha'bi, and Imam Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on them) regarding a woman who is negligent in her prayers and then menstruation occurs to her, they said: She will perform (make up) that prayer (i.e., after purification, she will have to perform those missed prayers).
Hadith 912
أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، وَيُونُسَ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ، فِي امْرَأَةٍ حَضَرَتْ الصَّلَاةُ فَفَرَّطَتْ حَتَّى حَاضَتْ، قَالَا: "تَقْضِي تِلْكَ الصَّلَاةَ إِذَا اغْتَسَلَتْ".
Imam Hasan, may Allah have mercy on him, said regarding the woman who is negligent, and when the time for prayer comes she does not pray until her menstruation begins, then she will make up the missed prayer after performing the ritual bath.
Hadith 913
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شِهَابٍ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ، وَقَتَادَةَ، قَالَا: "إِذَا ضَيَّعَتْ الْمَرْأَةُ الصَّلَاةَ حَتَّى تَحِيضَ، فَعَلَيْهَا الْقَضَاءُ إِذَا طَهُرَتْ".
Hasan and Qatadah said: If a woman misses a prayer and then her menstruation begins, she must make up (that prayer) after becoming pure.
Hadith 914
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ: "إِذَا فَرَّطَتْ ثُمَّ حَاضَتْ، قَضَتْ".
Imam Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: When a woman is negligent and menstruation begins, she must make up (the missed prayer).
Hadith 915
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ: حَدَّثَنَا عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي يُوسُفَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، قَالَ: "إِذَا حَاضَتْ الْمَرْأَةُ فِي وَقْتِ الصَّلَاةِ، فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهَا الْقَضَاءُ"، قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد: يَعْقُوبُ هُوَ ابْنُ الْقَعْقَاعِ قَاضِي مَرْوٍ، وَأَبُو يُوسُفَ شَيْخٌ مَكِّيٌّ.
Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) said: If a woman gets her menses at the time of prayer, there is no making up (qada) required of her. Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Yaqub: Ibn al-Qaqa’ is a judge, and Abu Yusuf: Shaykh Makki.
Hadith 916
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا
حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنَا
حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ
حَجَّاجٍ،
وَقَيْسٍ، عَنْ
عَطَاءٍ، قَالَ:
"إِذَا طَهُرَتْ قَبْلَ الْمَغْرِبِ، صَلَّتْ الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ، وَإِذَا طَهُرَتْ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ، صَلَّتْ الْمَغْرِبَ وَالْعِشَاءَ" . .
Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) said: If a woman becomes pure before Maghrib, she will also pray Dhuhr and Asr, and if she becomes pure before Fajr, she will also pray Maghrib and Isha.
Hadith 917
This narration is also reported from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, may Allah have mercy on him.
Hadith 918
The same is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both).
Hadith 919
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ فِي الْحَائِضِ "تُصَلِّي الصَّلَاةَ الَّتِي طَهُرَتْ فِي وَقْتِهَا".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) that the woman will perform the prayer of the time in which she became pure.
Hadith 920
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، وَطَاوُسٍ، وَمُجَاهِدٍ، قَالُوا: "إِذَا طَهُرَتْ الْحَائِضُ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ، صَلَّتْ الْمَغْرِبَ وَالْعِشَاءَ، وَإِذَا طَهُرَتْ قَبْلَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ، صَلَّتْ الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ".
Ata, Tawus, and Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on them) said that if a menstruating woman becomes pure before the Fajr prayer, she should also perform Maghrib and Isha, and if she becomes pure before sunset, she should also perform Dhuhr and Asr.
Hadith 921
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ الْحَكَمِ فِي الْحَائِضِ "إِذَا رَأَتْ الطُّهْرَ آخِرَ النَّهَارِ، صَلَّتْ الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ، وَإِذَا طَهُرَتْ آخِرَ اللَّيْلِ، صَلَّتْ الْمَغْرِبَ وَالْعِشَاءَ" . .
The Prophet gave the ruling regarding a menstruating woman that when she sees purity at the end of the day, she should perform both Zuhr and Asr prayers, and if she attains purity at the end of the night, she should also perform Maghrib and Isha prayers.
Hadith 922
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، مِثْلَهُ . .
It is also narrated from Imam Tawus, may Allah have mercy on him, in a similar manner as mentioned before.
Hadith 923
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَيْدٍ سَعِيدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ، يَقُولُ: "إِذَا طَهُرَتْ عِنْدَ الْعَصْرِ، صَلَّتْ الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ".
It is narrated from Mughira that Imam Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) used to say: If a woman becomes pure at the time of Asr, she should perform both Zuhr and Asr prayers.
Hadith 924
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَيْدٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: سَأَلْتُ حَمَّادًا، قَالَ: "إِذَا طَهُرَتْ فِي وَقْتِ صَلَاةٍ صَلَّتْ".
Shu’bah said: I asked Hammad (bin Abi Sulayman): When a woman becomes pure during the time of prayer, what should she do? He said: She should pray.
Hadith 925
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When a woman becomes pure during the time of a prayer, she should perform that prayer, and she will not perform the previous prayer.
Hadith 926
قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى زَيْدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ الْمَرْأَةِ تَطْهُرُ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ، قَالَ: "تُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ"، قُلْتُ: فَإِنْ كَانَ طُهْرُهَا قَرِيبًا مِنْ مَغِيبِ الشَّمْسِ، قَالَ: "تُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَلَا تُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ، وَلَوْ أَنَّهَا لَمْ تَطْهُرْ حَتَّى تَغِيبَ الشَّمْسُ، لَمْ يَكُنْ عَلَيْهَا شَيْءٌ"، سُئِلَ عَبْد اللَّهِ تَأْخُذُ بِهِ ؟، قَالَ: لَا.
Imam Darimi, may Allah have mercy on him, said: I read this statement from Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, to Zaid bin Yahya: If a woman becomes pure after Asr, then? He said: She will pray both Dhuhr and Asr. Imam Darimi, may Allah have mercy on him, said: If the time of purity is shortly before sunset, then she will only pray Asr, not Dhuhr, and if she becomes pure after sunset, then nothing is obligatory upon her. Imam Darimi, may Allah have mercy on him, was asked: Is this also your statement? He said: No.
