It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): I heard that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the water in the wilderness from which cattle and wild animals drink (whether it can be used). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the amount of water reaches two qullahs, nothing makes it impure (filthy)."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the water from which beasts and birds drink. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the amount of water reaches two large pitchers, it does not accept impurity."
