باب الرُّخْصَةِ في تَرْكِ الْوُضُوءِ:
Chapter: Permission to Leave Ablution
Hadith 750
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ، حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ عَمْرَو بْنَ أُمَيَّةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "يَحْتَزُّ مِنْ كَتِفِ شَاةٍ فِي يَدِهِ، ثُمَّ دُعِيَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ، فَأَلْقَى السِّكِّينَ الَّتِي كَانَ يَحْتَزُّ بِهَا، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ".
It is narrated from Ja'far bin Amr bin Umayyah that his father, Sayyiduna Amr bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him), informed him that he saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cutting and eating a piece of meat from a goat with a knife. In the meantime, he was called for prayer, so he put down the knife with which he was cutting the meat, then stood up and performed the prayer without performing ablution.
